Acceptable use policy

Hive Mate exists because trust is the bottleneck in UAE shared living. To keep the marketplace useful, we ask everyone to follow these rules.

Things we approve

• One genuine identity per person. Use your real name and your own Emirates ID.
• Listings for real units you have legal authority to advertise.
• Polite, direct messages to listers and seekers about the unit and fit.

Things that get you removed

• Posting a listing without sublet permission.
• Brokerage activity or acting as an unauthorised intermediary.
• Bait-and-switch listings, reused photos from public sites, or duplicated active inventory.
• Harassment, discrimination, or abusive language in chat.
• Requests for cash transfers before a written agreement is signed.
• Sharing other users' contact details outside Hive Mate without consent.

Reporting

Use the report button on any listing or message that violates this policy. Our review team will action it. Every moderation decision is audit-logged.

Enforcement

We may warn, soft-suspend, or permanently remove accounts that violate this policy. In serious cases we will preserve evidence and cooperate with UAE authorities.
