Privacy policy

What we collect

• Account data: email, name, phone (if provided), date of birth.
• Lifestyle profile: smoking, pets, cooking habits, sleep, work, cleanliness, guests, alcohol, daily routine, and cultural comfort.
• Verification artefacts: Emirates ID (front + back), selfie holding the ID, declared name + EID number + date of birth.
• For Listers: property proof — Ejari, tenancy contract, or title deed.
• Listing content you create, including photos.
• Messages you send, for the purposes of delivering them and abuse moderation.

How we use it

• To verify identity manually so other users can trust who they are talking to.
• To compute compatibility scores and surface relevant listings.
• To prevent and investigate abuse, fraud, and broker behaviour.
• To send transactional messages, including status updates and security alerts.

Where verification artefacts live

Identity documents and property proof live in a private storage bucket. They are served only through short-lived signed URLs. They are visible to you and our review team — never to other users.

Retention

When you close your account we mark it closed immediately, and verification artefacts (Emirates ID front, Emirates ID back, selfie, property proof documents) are deleted 90 days after closure unless legal or active abuse review requires a longer hold. After deletion only minimal audit metadata (admin actions, rejection reasons) is retained.

Who can access your data

• You, through the dashboard and verify page.
• Our small review team, only for trust and safety purposes.
• Infrastructure providers under contract.
• UAE authorities where compelled by valid legal process.

Your rights

You can request access, correction, or deletion of your data by emailing support. We will respond within 30 days unless a longer period is permitted by law.
